2. EDGE Jaylon Ferguson to the Carolina Panthers

The Baltimore Ravens brought in some reinforcements off the edge in the form of veteran Justin Houston, who joins a pretty talented defensive front overall.

The Ravens obviously said goodbye to their reigning sack leader Matt Judon, who went and signed with the New England Patriots.

They said goodbye to a 2020 trade acquisition, Yannick Ngakoue, who signed with the Las Vegas Raiders.

Could they say goodbye to another player off the edge?

It’s possible.

The team returns Tyus Bowser and Pernell McPhee off the edge as well as bringing in Houston, but the top move this team made off the edge in 2021 was first-round pick Odafe Oweh, a freak of an athlete who has a chance to emerge as a key piece of this defense early on.

Another rookie, Daelin Hayes, has impressed in camp and could push a player like Ferguson off the roster.

If that’s the case, the Carolina Panthers should undoubtedly have some interest.

Carolina has Brian Burns and second-year player Yetur Gross-Matos off the edge, but they definitely need some depth and Ferguson might be a better fit in their defensive scheme.
