Tampa Bay Buccaneers trade options with the Tennessee Titans
Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Tennessee Titans trade ideas
1. OJ Howard to the Titans?
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have made no indication that they are going to trade tight end OJ Howard, but they might.
Howard has a reasonable salary cap figure under $7 million this season which the Bucs could save completely if they trade him to another team.
Howard played just four games last season, catching 11 passes with two touchdowns among them. When healthy, he has undoubtedly been an asset to the Buccaneers’ offense but that has frankly not been easy for him to do in four NFL seasons.
While the Titans made a huge move already to get Julio Jones, why not another former Alabama playmaker?
We recently wrote about the Tennessee Titans having a possible breakout candidate in tight end Anthony Firkser, but I’m sure Jon Robinson would welcome the opportunity to acquire the former first-round pick who has 14 touchdowns among his 105 career receptions.
The Bucs are going to be reevaluating their offensive weaponry after the season. If Tom Brady comes back for another year, that sets them up to bring back Rob Gronkowski again and they already have Cameron Brate.
The Titans may be willing to give up something decent for OJ Howard and he would be a huge get for that Titans offense.
