1. Arizona Cardinals

The Arizona Cardinals are dealing with their own contract issue with Chandler Jones, but sit in a good spot to acquire Xavien Howard. They are building a very good team out in the desert, but there is a need at corner for them.

As it stands currently, Byron Murphy and Malcolm Butler are set to be the starters at the corner position. Murphy has been most effective in the slot to this point in his career, and Butler is getting up there in age. They did draft a pair of corners in 2021 in Marco Wilson and Tay Gowan, but both still need a lot of time to develop. The others in the corner room consist of Robert Alford and Darqueze Dennard.

After acquiring J.J. Watt to beef up the pass rush, Rodney Hudson to be a centerpiece on the offensive line, and selecting Zaven Collins to pair with Isaiah Simmons at linebacker, this team is coming together. They just need a lockdown defender on the outside.

It’s going to take a couple high draft picks, or maybe Jones if the Miami Dolphins are interested, but the Cardinals have the ability to acquire Howard and rework his deal to count more against the cap down the line. Howard would make Arizona a big time threat in the NFC West.
