2021 NFL mock draft: Round 2, 38th Overall

OT. Oklahoma State. Teven Jenkins. 2. player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. 856

After passing on Penei Sewell and drafting Ja’Marr Chase in the first round, the Cincinnati Bengals are almost certainly going to add help on the offensive line with their pick at 38. Luckily for Bengals fans, they could still have a shot at landing a first-round caliber tackle at 38 with Oklahoma State’s, Teven Jenkins, still on the board.

Jenkins was a popular choice in mock drafts as the third offensive tackle coming off the board in the 2021 NFL Draft, but he has now heard four players at his position get their names called ahead of him.

That has set the Cincinnati Bengals up perfectly to land an immediate plug-and-play option to play opposite Jonah Williams. Jenkins is a huge bodied player with a mean streak at the tackle position. When he gets his mitts on a defender, he is looking to punish them. That type of attitude would be a welcomed addition to a Cincinnati offensive line that is desperate to keep Joe Burrow upright in 2021.

This would be an A+ scenario for Cincinnati to land Chase and Jenkins with their first two picks.

2021 NFL mock draft: Round 3, 69th Overall

Louisiana Tech. 3. 2119. Milton Williams. player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. DT

After focusing on offense in the first two rounds, I have the Cincinnati Bengals turning their attention to the defensive side of the ball in the third by taking defensive tackle, Milton Williams, with the 69th overall pick.

After parting ways with Geno Atkins this offseason, the Cincinnati Bengals are in the market for an interior pass rusher and Williams could be just the guy to fill that need. In his last two collegiate seasons, Williams totaled 10 sacks and had 19 tackles for a loss. Not only can he push the pocket, but Williams is also really solid in the run game too.

If he’s still on the board when the Cincinnati Bengals are on the clock at 69, I think this would be a home run pick and a terrific way to close out their Day-2 of the 2021 NFL Draft.
