Day 3 Picks

There is plenty of projection here with Tay Gowan but he is certainly a talented prospect with a lot of upside.

He did not play in the 2020 season but in 2019 finished with 31 tackles, two interceptions, and eight pass breakups. Considering he only saw 50 passes come his way in that year at UCF, this guy has the size (6-foot-2) and productivity to really be worthy of a flyer here in the fifth round.

In the 2019 season at UCF, he allowed just 33 percent of passes thrown into his coverage to be completed.

Although he’s played both cornerback and safety in college, Norwood should be able to fit in a variety of roles in the NFL, including on special teams.

He had five interceptions this past year at Oklahoma and with those kind of ball skills and productivity, he could be an ideal dime defensive back or backup safety.

After playing what feels like nearly a decade at Northwestern, Paddy Fisher is finally heading to the NFL.

He racked up over 400 tackles in his four seasons as a Wildcat with 24.5 tackles for loss and 10 forced fumbles.

Fisher is excellent against the run but might be limited to a two-down role at the next level with special teams upside. He is a smart player and should stick in the league for a while.
