After missing out on the top two cornerbacks in the first round of this mock draft projection, the Arizona Cardinals would almost have to go with the best corner on their board in round two.

Lucky for them, this is a fairly deep class of cornerbacks at the top and there are plenty of guys who would be available in round two that could play significant snaps early on in their NFL careers.

Asante Samuel Jr. is one of them.

Samuel, like his dad, is an absolute ball hawk and knows how to play both inside as a slot corner or outside. He’s not the biggest cornerback prospect but he doesn’t allow that to really affect his game in a negative way.

Samuel is as confident as they come which is exactly what you want from the cornerback position, and he’s willing to come up and be physical in the running game as well.

If the Cardinals are lucky enough to be staring him face this late in the second round, they should sprint the pick to the podium. Samuel is a baller and fills a huge need for Arizona with no picks remaining until the fifth round.
