San Francisco 49ers address offensive line in 7-round mock draft

San Francisco 49ers mock draft: Round 5, 156th overall
While the 49ers have one of the best tight ends in the NFL in George Kittle, they could be an even more explosive offense with a good number two tight end. The team’s current backup tight ends Ross Dwelley and Charlie Woerner only combined for 22 receptions last season, so upgrading this position should be a priority
Notre Dame’s Tommy Tremble is a player who is being undervalued. The reason people are overlooking him is his lack of production in college having only caught 35 passes during his Notre Dame career. Even with his lack of big numbers in college Tremble is a complete tight end who has a similar playing style as George Kittle in that he is a strong blocker who is physical with the ball in his hands.
San Francisco 49ers mock draft: Round 5, 173rd overall
Despite already focusing on this position in the offseason by re-signing Trent Williams signing Alex Mack and taking Rashawn Slater in this mock draft, the 49ers would still be wise to address the offensive line late in the draft. With this pick, the team brings in someone who can add depth at offensive guard and possibly push Laken Tomilnson for playing time.
A sleeper in the 2021 NFL Draft is Illinois’s Kendrick Green. Despite being a USA Today second-team All-American and posting a 4.85 40-yard dash time, Green is still predicted to go on the third day of the draft. While his footwork could use some work, his mobility would make a wise pick this late in the draft.
San Francisco 49ers mock draft: Round 5, 181st overall
While it may be a shock the 49ers wait this long to address the defensive line, they get good value with the addition of Cameron Sample in the fifth round. The team needs a bigger defensive end to backup Nick Bosa who is coming off a torn ACL and that is what they get in Sample who comes in at 6-foot-3 274 pounds.
