Buffalo Bills 7-round mock draft: Chasing a championship
Buffalo Bills mock draft: Round 5, 161st overall
The free-agent addition of Emmanuel Sanders rounds out the top of the Bills’ wide receiver depth chart nicely. Their top four of Stefon Diggs, Sanders, Cole Beasley and Gabriel Davis brings stability and upside to the position. Josh Allen will have plenty of targets to throw to in the Bills’ offensive attack. That being said, this team does lack a bit of wide receiver depth and could look to address the spot in the draft.
In the fifth round of this mock draft, the Bills add to their wide receiver room with the addition of Frank Darby. Darby is a tremendous competitor who releases at the line of scrimmage well and attacks the ball in the air at a high level. He is a quick and explosive target who can create separation quickly and stretch the field as a deep receiver. Darby would not be expected to make a massive immediate impact for the Bills but he would provide nice depth and could grow into a possible starter down the line.
Buffalo Bills mock draft: Round 5, 174th overall
The Bills addressed their cornerback room earlier in this mock draft and find an opportunity to do so again here in the fifth round. Kary Vincent Jr. lacks ideal size at the cornerback position but his athleticism is consistently impressive and undoubtedly gives him exciting upside at the next level. Vincent is an incredibly quick defensive back who closes on the ball in an instant and shows smooth movement skills in coverage.
Vincent reads the quarterback extremely well in zone coverage and shows tremendous natural ball skills at all times. He undoubtedly has a ton of upside as a slot cornerback at the next level and the Buffalo Bills could develop him into a real playmaker on the defensive side of the ball.
