Alijah Vera-Tucker put such great tape out there in the 2019 season at the guard position that he was being considered as possibly the top interior offensive lineman in the 2021 NFL Draft class.

In 2020, he replaced Austin Jackson as the left tackle for the USC Trojans and he played just as well at tackle as he did at guard.

Now, NFL teams can project him safely at two spots going forward.

For the Washington Football Team, he could end up playing at either spot depending on what happens with 2020 fourth-round pick Saahdiq Charles, a player with definite starter upside heading into his second NFL season.

Vera-Tucker has all of the qualities you look for in an offensive lineman with his nasty demeanor, excellent technique, and versatility. He may not have the NFL’s ideal length at the tackle position, but his tape holds up — the dude can play.

Regardless of who the quarterback is now or in the future, a player like Vera-Tucker would be a huge asset for the Washington Football Team in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft.
