11. Shaka Toney, Penn State
6-foot-2, 238 pounds
2021 NFL Draft grade: Fifth round

A big school prospect who is being overlooked is Penn State’s, Shaka Toney. Last season, Toney actually significantly outperformed his teammate Jayson Oweh who carries a first-round draft grade. Toney finished the 2020 season with 31 tackles and a team-high seven sacks. He shows a great burst off the ball and the flexibility to get around the edge.

While Toney is a good pass rusher, he is a one-dimensional player. He struggles significantly against the run as he can be bullied on the line of scrimmage. He also lacks great awareness in this area as he often overruns plays. A team looking for a pass rusher though would be wise to consider Toney early on day three of the 2021 NFL Draft.

12. Quincy Roche, Miami
6-foot-3, 243 pounds
2021 NFL Draft grade: Fifth round

Quincy Roche starter his career off at Temple where he put up some impressive numbers, including 13 sacks in 2019. He then decided to transfer to Miami where his production dropped some as he only accounted for 4.5 sacks on the year. One of the primary reasons he was such an effective pass rusher was his wide variety of pass rush moves. He was also helped by the fact he is a very fluid athlete.

While his college production catches your eye, there are some concerns about how well that will transfer over to the NFL. One of these concerns is over the fact he only has an average first step off the ball. He also could be caught off balance at times which raises a red flag. The perfect fit for Roche might be as an outside linebacker in a 3-4 defense due to his lack of size and the fact he has the athletic ability to hold up in coverage.
