Washington Football Team: Complete seven-round 2021 NFL mock draft
Washington Football Team mock draft: Round 5, 164th overall
There is not much to get excited about in the Washington off-ball linebacker room and any sort of talent infusion at the position would be good for the team. Here, they swing for the fences a bit at the position, adding Tony Fields II out of West Virginia to the mix.
Fields is a quick and athletic linebacker prospect who reads the field well and attacks aggressively when needed. He shows impressive natural block shed ability against the run and is also a reliable tackler in space. His overall pass coverage ability is solid, with his instincts in zone shining through a majority of the time. Simply put, Fields is a tough and competitive linebacker prospect who moves well on the field and could grow into a key piece for Washington.
Washington Football Team mock draft: Round 7, 239th overall
Dax Milne is not the biggest or most explosive wide receiver around, but he is a good, solid football player who simply made plays throughout his college career. He does show solid overall athleticism, is an efficient route runner, plays an extremely competitive brand of football and has a knack for making tough catches in contested situations.
While his upside is relatively limited, Milne could undoubtedly grow into a solid depth receiver who makes an impact on offense and special teams.
Washington Football Team mock draft: Round 7, 241st overall
With their final pick of this mock draft, the Washington Football Team goes back to the cornerback position to find a solid depth addition. DJ Daniel is a good athlete at the cornerback position who changes directions quickly and can keep up against most deep receivers.
He is tough and physical at the line of scrimmage, showing good press coverage ability and can also make an impact against the run. Daniel undoubtedly has some upside as a strong depth corner at the next level, but if nothing else, he should be able to make an impact for his NFL team by showcasing his athleticism and physicality on special teams.
