Arizona Cardinals 2021 NFL mock draft: Round 2, 63rd overall

player. Scouting Report. Javonte Williams. 2. RB. North Carolina. 838. Pick Analysis

After trading down and acquiring extra capital in the first round of this 2021 NFL mock draft, the Arizona Cardinals can afford to make a bit of a luxury pick here. A strong running game could really help stabilize this offense and Javonte Williams could quickly grow into the right guy to lead the attack.

Williams is an incredibly powerful running back prospect who shows impressive natural ball carrier vision and good burst through the hole. He is an extremely tough and aggressive runner who is an absolute load to take down in the open field and does a great job of maintaining his balance through contact.

Make no mistake about it, Javonte Williams is a tremendous running back prospect who has massive upside at the next level. Adding him to the mix after landing Dickerson earlier in the round would go a long way towards stabilizing the Cardinals’ offensive attack going forward.

Arizona Cardinals 2021 NFL mock draft: Round 3, 79th overall

USC. 3. player. 808. Scouting Report. WR. Amon-Ra St. Brown. Pick Analysis

Wide receiver is not a major position of need for the Arizona Cardinals, but Amon-Ra St. Brown is simply too good of a value to ignore in this range. St. Brown is a quick and smooth route runner who separates from man coverage in the short passing game with ease. He consistently gets a strong release off of the line of scrimmage, is a tough player who competes well in contested-catch situations and is also an impact player after the catch.

St. Brown is a dynamic playmaker in the slot who can make an impact in the short, intermediate and deep passing games. While the Cardinals have quality depth at the wide receiver position, adding a guy like St. Brown to the mix would certainly help. He could quickly grow into an impact playmaker for Murray in the passing attack.
