Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. USC. Alijah Vera-Tucker. Offensive Lineman. 20. player. 57

Welcome back to the first round, Chicago Bears! Chicago did not have a first-round pick each of the last two years following the Khalil Mack trade, so the Bears find themselves in a bit of unfamiliar territory this year in the first round of this 2021 NFL mock draft.

The Bears are another team that really needs a quarterback. Whether it is a draft pick, Mitchell Trubisky, Nick Foles or another QB via trade, the team will need to protect them. Bringing in a guy like Alijah Vera-Tucker could be a great move for Chicago.

Vera-Tucker is about as versatile as they come. He was excellent as a guard for the Trojans before making the transition to left tackle this season after teammate Austin Jackson was drafted a season ago.

Both as a tackle and as a guard, Vera-Tucker is a force to be reckoned with. He is effective when getting out in space and powerful when locked up with a defender. Most believe that he will really thrive as a guard at the next level with his blend of strength and athleticism, but he has proven that he can play wherever you need him.

That will be the only question for the Chicago Bears. Where do you want to put him? Alijah Vera-Tucker could come in and compete for the starting job at all five offensive line spots. Wherever he ends up, he will immensely help that rushing attack and will help protect whoever is under center for Da Bears.
