It doesn’t take long for the other top corner to come off the board here in this 2021 NFL mock draft. The Dallas Cowboys and new defensive coordinator, Dan Quinn, should be super excited to add a player like Caleb Farley.

As I mentioned, Farley is an outstanding zone corner with safety-like instincts. Something that will be invaluable in Quinn’s Cover 3 scheme. Farley always seems to find himself in the right position down the field and is spectacular at making a play on the ball.

Unlike Surtain II, Farley rarely lines up close to the line of scrimmage. He may give a five or ten-yard cushion pre-snap, but he can close that gap in a flash with his athleticism and instincts. He is physical as a tackler and at the catch point, often breaking up any pass that comes his way.

Farley uses his outstanding blend of size, speed and instincts to make play after play, whether it is breaking up a shorter, quicker pass or making a play on the ball deep down the field. With his ball skills, Farley will be able to come up with his fair share of takeaways at the next level.

Pairing Farley with a guy like Trevon Diggs that they already have in the fold would be huge for Quinn and the Dallas defense. Both guys fit that scheme extremely well, have great ball skills and athleticism and both should continue to develop and improve in 2021 and beyond.
