After the best season of his career at 47 years old, winning the MVP award, Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packer look to make the most of the final two years on his contract at $25 million per year. After seeing the Baltimore Ravens select wide receiver and potential ‘Randall Cobb 2.0’ at number 27 overall in this NFL mock draft, the Green Bay Packers choose instead to replace free-agent guard Lane Taylor with a young, aggressive run blocker out of Ohio State.

A focal point within the Ohio State rushing attack for his physical prowess and lane-clearing aggression, Wyatt Davis is a conventional bulldozing guard with the mobility to pull and block in space against second-level defenders. Still unpolished in pass protection, Davis is a considerable investment in the running game which has helped Rodgers dissect vulnerable secondaries.

With running back Aaron Jones not yet set on returning to Lambeau Field, the addition of a physical run-blocker who can single-handedly clear rushing lanes in a cold-weather environment sounds like a suitable plan to elevate the potential combination of Williams and Dillon.

Despite defensive success supporting the breakout of Josh Allen and the revival of the Bill’s Mafia, a major question entering this offseason is how the Bills front office decides to revitalize an aging group of pass-rushers. Having sported the likes of Jerry Hughes, Mario Addison, and Trent Murphy this past season, the Bills need to pair former draft selection A.J. Epenesa with a complimenting partner.

An athletically raw prospect still developing his game, Longhorn’s edge Joseph Ossai has only recently found his place on the edge after spending time as a conventional linebacker. Using his quickness and effective strength, Ossai manages to surpass his raw arsenal of pass-rush moves by creating leverage and using his bendy hips.

At six-foot-four, 254-pounds, Ossai has the size to slide down as a conventional 4-3 defensive end, providing a more nimble counter to Epenesa’s strength. Capable of blowing up run plays from the backside, Ossai could become the edge playmaker the Buffalo defense has needed.
