2021 NFL mock draft: Round 1, 14th overall

Texas. Samuel Cosmi. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. OT. player. 60. 14

Offensive tackle is not a major immediate need for the Minnesota Vikings but starting left tackle Riley Reiff will be a free agent after the 2021 season, leaving an obvious hole up front. Attacking that need a year early would make sense for Minnesota, especially with Samuel Cosmi still on the board here at No. 14.

Cosmi is an extremely athletic offensive tackle prospect who mirrors in pass protection well and always plays under control. Cosmi lacks ideal functional strength up front but his athletic ability is undoubtedly impressive and gives him a lot of long-term upside.

2021 NFL mock draft: Round 1, 15th overall

15. 47. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. LB. Penn State. Micah Parsons. player

Character concerns may cause Micah Parsons to slip down the board a bit, but based on talent alone, he is a top-tier prospect in this class. Parsons is an extremely quick and athletic linebacker prospect who shows tremendous range and block-shed ability.

He is a premier run defender who also shows a ton of upside as a pass rusher. Parsons is an exciting weapon in the blitz game and can even line up and wreak havoc as an edge rusher. Parsons is a versatile player who could play some sort of a hybrid linebacker/edge rusher role that would make him a great fit with the New England Patriots.

The Patriots lack impact playmaking ability at the linebacker position and nobody values versatility more than this team. Based on the on-field situation, Micah Parsons feels like a great fit for the Pats and a potentially excellent value at No. 15.
