2021 NFL mock draft: Dolphins get Deshaun Watson, other bold QB trades
2021 NFL mock draft: Round 1, 10th overall
The Dallas Cowboys have some serious work to do on the defensive side of the ball this offseason, with real needs across all three levels. Cornerback stands out as a major need for this team and Patrick Surtain II would be a nice value pick in this range.
Surtain is not the most impressive athlete at the cornerback position, but he is a smart and disciplined player who always seems to be in a good position. Surtain is a strong zone coverage defender who displays fantastic natural instincts and attacks the ball in the air extremely well. He is a strong and dependable cornerback prospect who could come in and provide immediate value to the Cowboys at an important position of need.
2021 NFL mock draft: Round 1, 11th overall
Kyle Pitts is one of the most interesting prospects in the 2021 NFL Draft class and could easily come off of the board much earlier than No. 11. He is a dynamic athlete at the tight end position who is going to be an absolute matchup nightmare at the next level. Pitts is too fast and explosive for most linebackers to defend and too big for most defensive backs.
The New York Giants already have a good tight end in Evan Engram, but Engram will be a free agent after the 2021 season. Planning ahead and snagging Pitts here would allow the Giants to get fill a position that will likely be a need soon with an incredibly gifted player. Selecting Pitts at No. 11 would also be a case of the Giants selecting the best player available.
