2021 NFL Draft: Round 1, 28th overall

player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. OLB. Notre Dame. Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah. 28. 15

The New Orleans Saints are one of the hardest teams to predict when it comes to what they will do in the 2021 NFL Draft. This is mainly due to the poor salary cap situation they are currently in. This makes it hard to predict which of their free agents they may resign and who might get cut in order to free up money. Due to this I just predicted they go with the best player still available in the draft in Notre Dame linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah.

Owusu-Koramoah is one of the more versatile players in the draft as he has the speed, athletic ability and coverage ability to play a variety of positions on defense. This includes outside linebacker where he primarily played at Notre Dame. He also could make the switch to strong safety which the Saints might do depending on what they do with Malcolm Jenkins and Marcus Williams this offseason.

The team could look at several other positions with this pick including pass rusher, wide receiver, or even quarterback. A pick that would surprise people but I could see the Saints making is drafting Florida quarterback Kyle Trask with the 28th pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.
