Oregon. 56. Scouting Report. Offensive Tackle. 5. player. Pick Analysis. Penei Sewell

The Cincinnati Bengals are entering a pivotal year with head coach Zac Taylor. While they believe they’ve finally found their guy at quarterback in Joe Burrow, it’s hard to know if he will be back to start the season. When he returns, it’s imperative for the Bengals to have put the best offensive line in front of Burrow for him to succeed.

This is a dream scenario for the Bengals in the 2021 NFL Draft, as Oregon tackle Penei Sewell falls to them at number five. Sewell opted out of the 2020 college season, but he’s still got excellent traits worthy of a top-five selection. He isn’t the most dominant pass protector, but he’s technical enough to start at left tackle immediately in the NFL. His movement skills getting out of his stance and making blocks in space is the best part of his game. Play Sewell at left tackle and move Jonah Williams inside, and now the line is coming together.

6. player. 54. Wide Receiver. LSU. Ja'Marr Chase. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis

The Philadelphia Eagles, like the Falcons, also have needs at corner and in the secondary, and like the Falcons, go with the same position in the 2021 NFL Draft as they did in 2020. In this case, the Eagles go with wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase.

Chase brings a level of physicality that the Eagles are sorely missing at the wide receiver position. He handles press extremely well and separates well with size and speed. His route running ability leaves a bit to be desired, but his toughness and ability after the catch make him a threat at all three levels.
