2021 NFL Draft: Jets, Panthers fill QB need in three-round mock draft
2021 NFL Draft: Round 1, 32nd overall
What do you give a team that has everything? While losses in free agency may quickly change their situation, the Bucs currently do not have many holes on the roster. That, coupled with the addition of the greatest quarterback of all-time, is why this team won the Super Bowl and is a real threat to repeat next season.
That being said, running back Leonard Fournette is a free agent this offseason and he could receive a lot of attention on the open market after his post-season performance. The Buccaneers have other players who they need to worry about bringing back in free agency and that could lead to Fournette taking a bigger pay-day with another team. In this scenario, Alabama running back Najee Harris stands out as an obvious target for the Bucs.
Harris is the top running back prospect in the 2021 NFL Draft, featuring an impressive combination of burst through the hole and power at the point of contact. He is a hard-running and bruising running back who is always moving the pile forward and does a nice job of maintaining his balance through contact.
Harris is not the most impressive player when it comes to short-area quickness, but he does do a nice job of finding the hole quickly and exploding through. He has legitimate big-play speed and has also shown the ability to be a dynamic playmaker as a receiver out of the backfield.
Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are going to want players who can come in and help them win right now. Out of the players remaining on the board, Harris is the one who can give them the most as a rookie.
