2021 NFL Draft: Round 1, 19th overall

Pick Analysis. OT. Virginia Tech. 58. player. Scouting Report. Christian Darrisaw. 19

Ideally, the Washington Football Team will be able to snag a true franchise quarterback in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft. That being said, it is going to be difficult for them to accomplish this from No. 19. Not impossible, but unlikely. With that in mind, taking care of the offensive line with the addition of a strong left tackle prospect would make plenty of sense for the team.

In this mock draft, Christian Darrisaw slips down the board a bit, presenting an opportunity for Washington to find an impact player at an important position of need. Darrisaw is an impressive left tackle prospect who shows a strong combination of quickness and power up front. He is an absolute mauler in the run game who dominates at the point of attack and drives defenders out of the way with ease.

Darrisaw is not an elite athlete up front but he does move well enough to attack the second level with success and mirrors opposing edge rushers well in pass protection. Darrisaw protects the quarterback well, showing the ability to win against both speed and power on the edge.

The Washington Football Team has a massive hole at the left tackle position and they need to do what they can to fill the spot. Adding Darrisaw to the mix would help this offense in a big way, no matter who ends taking snaps from under center.
