The Pittsburgh Steelers might need to start doing some forward-thinking on the offensive line, starting with the 2021 NFL Draft.
Alejandro Villanueva is a free agent after the 2020 season, and as with any impending free agent on any team, there is no guarantee he will return.
On the right side, Chukwuma Okorafor has done well as a fill-in for Matt Feiler who landed on IR this season.
Will Okorafor be in the team’s plans moving forward? Can they count on Feiler coming back from injury?
With a number of key questions on the offensive line, it’s worth at least looking into the possibility that the Steelers will have to go tackle in round one of the 2021 draft.
Jalen Mayfield has big upside but doesn’t have a ton of experience. He left Michigan with just over 1,000 snaps under his belt.
If the Steelers’ offensive line question is not for 2021, Mayfield would certainly be a potential solution beyond that.
