2021 NFL Draft 1st round: 29th pick

Nick Bolton. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Missouri. 29. player. 15. LB

The New Orleans Saints will be a fascinating team to watch all throughout the 2021 offseason.

Obviously at his age, the future of Drew Brees is in question once again. Will he come back for another season with New Orleans?

If Brees doesn’t return for another go at it in 2021, the Saints will undoubtedly be in the market for a quarterback in the offseason circuit and that could include making a bold move in the 2021 NFL Draft.

Still, as low as they will be picking, it’s hard to envision the Saints being able to make a big enough splash via trade to get one of the top QBs in this class.

If they stay put, Nick Bolton would be a fun first-round get.

Alex Anzalone is a projected free agent and has struggled with injuries throughout his career. Kwon Alexander has also struggled recently with injuries and despite being under contract, he could very well be gone in 2021.

Enter Nick Bolton, one of the top three-down linebacker prospects in this particular draft class.

Over the past two seasons, Bolton came just shy of 200 total tackles with 16.5 tackles for loss and 12 pass breakups along with two interceptions.

Bolton is productive against the run and pass but it’s his range against the pass that should get him selected in round one of the 2021 NFL Draft.
