Pick 25 – Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers had a roller-coaster season at times, but the offensive weaponry was enough to make it into the playoffs. Now, their 2021 NFL Draft plan will be dictated on how they approach the future. If they want to plan for life after Tom Brady, then a defensive pick makes sense. However, if they want to prolong Brady’s time in Tampa, then the offensive line should be the pick and that’s what they do here.

Last year, the Bucs could have used two offensive linemen, but they checked off one box with Tristan Wirfs. Alijah Vera-Tucker checks the other. While the interior of the line has been alright this season, adding Vera-Tucker would improve the unit as a whole and add another youthful player to line to play alongside Wirfs for years to come.

Pick 26 – Baltimore Ravens

The Baltimore Ravens have been recycling their positions for a few years now. Not rebuilding, recycling. Instead of taking a step back, they find the replacement for a position a year or two before they need it, never missing a beat. Take a look at Lamar Jackson and J.K. Dobbins for confirmation. Here, they do it again.

The defensive line of the Baltimore Ravens has been just as good as any other year, but more than one player is getting older on the line which could push the Ravens to make another future move in the first round by taking Joseph Ossai.

Over the last two seasons, Ossai has tallied 29 tackles for loss and 10.5 sacks in just 22 games. On top of that, he’s forced four fumbles. He has a lot of potential that has flown under the radar a bit, which makes it seem like the prototypical Baltimore pick.
