How to watch Steelers vs. Bengals via an online live stream

After back-to-back losses, the Pittsburgh Steelers will look to get back on track on Monday Night Football against the Cincinnati Bengals. Pittsburgh will need some help to get back into the number one seed in the AFC but at 11-2, they are undoubtedly still a threat to go deep into the postseason.

The Bengals, on the other hand, are not in as great of a position. Cincinnati currently sits at 2-10-1 on the year and are limping to the end of the season. Star rookie quarterback Joe Burrow is out for the year with a knee injury and Joe Mixon will continue to sit out with his lingering foot injury.

Brandon Allen has been holding down the fort for the Bengals at the quarterback position this season, but he is now dealing with a knee injury of his own. Second-year quarterback Ryan Finley will start in his place against the Steelers, but they are just keeping the spot warm for when Burrow hopefully returns healthy next level.

Giovani Bernard is now the primary back with Mixon out, but the Bengals appear to want to get their younger backs, Samaje Perine and Trayveon Williams, involved as well. Let’s be honest about this situation, Cincinnati is playing for 2021 and beyond. Pittsburgh’s defense should be able to easily shut down the Bengals’ offense in this one.

Ben Roethlisberger has been solid for the Steelers this season, but their offense as a whole has really struggled in recent weeks. The running game has been pretty much non-existent and Roethlisberger has not been able to push the ball down the field well.

More from NFL Mocks

Pittsburgh is loaded with exciting playmakers at the wide receiver position and Roethlisberger does a nice job of getting them the ball in space, but their inability to consistently compete in the deep passing game has hurt them in a big way.

Wide receiver Diontae Johnson is a player who I will be keeping a close eye on in this one. Johnson is an incredibly gifted receiver who can create space as a route runner with ease and is an impact playmaker with the ball in his hands. However, drops have been a major issue for Johnson this season and he was benched last week against Buffalo Bills.

The Steelers need Johnson to be at his best if they are going to make a deep run in the playoffs. It will be interesting to see if Johnson can get his season on track in this one. If he continues to drop the ball, look for JuJu Smith-Schuster, James Washington and rookie Chase Claypool to take a majority of the wide receiver snaps.

The Steelers should be able to come in and take care of business in this one but it’s not like they are playing particularly well right now. Either way, make sure to check this interesting Monday Night Football matchup out.
