Round 5, 155th Overall

Mississippi State. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. RB. 893. Kylin Hill. 5. player

The New England Patriots may have found something in second-year running back Damien Harris. Harris has played well for the Pats this season, but both Rex Burkhead and James White will hit free agency this offseason, challenging their depth at the running back position. Expect Belichick and company to address their running back depth at some point in the 2021 NFL Draft and Kylin Hill stands out as a good fit.

Hill is a tough and physical runner who refuses to go down on first contact. He does not show a ton of big-play ability, but he is relatively quick in short spaces and follows his blocks well. Hill also shows the ability to make an impact as a receiver out of the backfield. Snagging Hill here and pairing him with Harris would give the Patriots a strong young duo at the running back position.

Round 6, 179th Overall

OT. Memphis. 6. player. Pick Analysis. Obinna Eze. 858. Scouting Report

We talked about the New England Patriots needing offensive line depth earlier and here they swing for a potential impact player. Obinna Eze is an extremely raw offensive tackle prospect, but his combination of length, athleticism and power gives him exciting natural upside at the next level. Eze is far from a sure bet to succeed in the NFL, but if he progresses well, this pick would look like a massive steal.

Round 6, 182nd Overall

Thomas Graham Jr.. 6. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Oregon. player. 820. CB

Thomas Graham Jr. is a bit on the small side for a cornerback prospect and is not overly impressive athletically. That being said, he is a tough and physical player who offers strong run support and attacks the ball in the air extremely well in coverage. He is far from a perfect prospect but has a solid chance to make an impact at the next level for such a late pick.

Round 7, 236th Overall

WR. North Carolina. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. player. 838. Dazz Newsome. 7

With their final pick of this mock draft, the New England Patriots bring in another potential impact weapon in the passing game. Dazz Newsome is a strong route runner who shows good speed and quickness out of the slot. He also has soft hands and can create a bit after the catch. The Patriots need more talent at the wide receiver and could certainly do worse than taking a shot on a guy like Newsome late.
