2021 NFL Draft: Two-round NFL mock draft filled with many exciting trades
2021 NFL Draft: Round 2, 45th Overall
Another pick for the Chicago Bears, another possible solution at an offensive position of need. Cleaning up their offensive line and quarterback situation should be the priority, but wide receiver also stands out as a position of need for this team. With this pick, the Bears take advantage of the depth of this position in the 2021 NFL Draft by adding Chris Olave to their pass-catching corps.
Olave has a nice combination of size and speed at the wide receiver position. He uses his speed well to stretch the field and tracks the deep ball at an extremely high level. Olave is a smooth and talented pass catcher who undoubtedly has a bright future at the next level. Bringing Allen Robinson back will be a priority for this team this offseason, but Olave makes sense for Chicago whether he is back or not.
2021 NFL Draft: Round 2, 46th Overall
The San Francisco 49ers could certainly stand to add some depth across their offensive line. The interior, in particular, needs some work. However, they have a relatively specific type of offensive lineman that is needed for this offense, as they need guys who can move in space up front. There are a lot of power-based offensive linemen in the 2021 NFL Draft class, potentially limiting their options. However, Dillon Radunz stood out as a guy who could fit.
Radunz is a good, but not great, athlete up front, showing strong initial quickness and the ability to move well in space. Radunz is also a physical player who can overwhelm defenders at the point of attack and drive them down the field. He is a strong run blocker who also shows plenty of upside in pass protection.
Radunz was a left tackle in college and may be able to handle that position in the NFL. However, I see Radunz beginning his career at offensive guard for the 49ers in this scenario, with a move back outside to tackle being considered in a year or two.
2021 NFL Draft: Round 2, 47th Overall
It is always tempting to surround Kyler Murray with more offensive talent in these mock drafts, but here we are going with another defender for the Arizona Cardinals. Tyson Campbell is a big and athletic cornerback prospect who has exciting upside as a man-to-man defender. He is a bit of a raw player, but with proper coaching and development, Campbell has a chance to quickly grow into a legitimate impact player at an important defensive position.
