Round 6, 181st Overall

Olaijah Griffin. 6. player. 808. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. CB. USC

Ideally, the Cincinnati Bengals would be able to address their cornerback room earlier in the 2021 NFL Draft, but the right opportunity never presented itself in this mock draft. With this being the case, taking a shot on some upside late at the position would certainly make plenty of sense.

Olaijah Griffin is a quick and athletic cornerback prospect who shows good mobility and closing speed in coverage. He is a bit on the smaller side at the position but appears to have long arms, which obviously helps. There are some functional strength concerns with this player, but if he can fill out a bit, the sky is the limit for him at the next level.

Round 7, 224th Overall

Pick Analysis. QB. Kellen Mond. player. 873. Scouting Report. Texas A&M. 7

Why not take a chance on some upside at the quarterback position late in the draft. Joe Burrow is obviously the franchise quarterback of this team, but it is still a valuable position that deserves some investment when possible.

Kellen Mond is an inconsistent player, but the physical skill-set certainly flashes enough that NFL teams should be interested. He has a big arm, quick release and strong athleticism for the position. Taking him late and helping him grow could be a path to success for a team like the Cincinnati Bengals.

Round 7, 246th Overall

Coastal Carolina. player. 56. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. EDGE. Tarron Jackson. 7

With their eighth and final selection of this mock draft, the Cincinnati Bengals make another play at the edge rusher position. Tarron Jackson is a big and strong defender who sets the edge well and is an impact player against the run. He gets off of the ball quickly and shows tremendous power at the point of attack.

Jackson is never going to be a guy who consistently pressures the quarterback with speed around the edge, but he is a good, solid player who can fill a role up front. Cincinnati finds nice value here at the tail end of this mock draft.
