Round 3, 97th Overall

3. Pick Analysis. Tylan Wallace. Oklahoma State. player. 856. Scouting Report. WR

The Los Angeles Chargers will likely receive a third-round compensatory pick for losing Philip Rivers last offseason and that is reflected with this selection in this mock draft. I would not consider wide receiver a massive need for the Chargers, but it is a position that they should be looking to find value at in the 2021 NFL Draft. With so much depth at the position in this class, value can certainly be found.

Here, the Chargers scoop up Oklahoma State wide receiver Tylan Wallace. Returning from a torn ACL late last season, Wallace has returned and got right back on track this year. He is a smooth and explosive receiver who does a great job of creating space with his routes, is strong in contested-catch situations and is dangerous with the ball in his hands.

Wallace has undoubtedly benefited from playing in a wide-open offense in college, but he is undoubtedly a gifted wide receiver who has a high ceiling at the next level. Taking a chance on him with a compensatory third-round selection feels like a strong value pick for this team.

Round 4, 106th Overall

878. Pick Analysis. IOL. Iowa. 4. player. Scouting Report. Tyler Linderbaum

As we discussed earlier, the offensive line is a major area of need for the Los Angeles Chargers and the center position is not an exception. Mike Pouncey entered the year as the starter, but a hip injury has held him out of the entire season. Dan Feeney has been okay in his absence but is far too inconsistent of a player to count on as the unquestioned starter going forward. Plus, both players will be free agents after the season.

With this in mind, center is a clear potential position of need. In this mock draft, Tyler Linderbaum is brought in to compete at the position and he could end up being a major steal in this range.

Linderbaum is a tough and nasty competitor who is powerful at the point of attack. He clears out lanes with ease in the run game and also does a great job of blocking at the second level. Simply put, Linderbaum is a rock-solid center prospect who could come in and be an immediate contributor for the Los Angeles Chargers.
