Even after missing a few weeks due to COVID-19 protocol and games getting shuffled around, Trevor Lawrence looked like he hadn’t been gone a single day in his return to the field this past weekend.
It seems like it would be easy to overstate just how good Lawrence is given how highly everyone speaks of him, but you really can’t say enough good things about his game.
Lawrence is the total package.
He wins the game from the neck up, but he has every trait you look for physically as well. He is obviously an awesome passer to every level of the field with accuracy, velocity, touch, and timing, but Lawrence is also a very good runner and he can create when the pocket breaks down.
He is not immune to making mistakes, but he has shown that he learns quickly from mistakes and comes back with a vengeance.
The New York Jets will likely have a new head coach by season’s end. That coach will likely get to begin his tenure with the team having Lawrence as the quarterback.
