One of the most interesting matchups of the Week 12 NFL slate will take place this afternoon as the New England Patriots play host to the Arizona Cardinals. The 6-4 Cardinals are in a good spot but need to keep piling up wins to keep pace in a tough NFC West. The 4-6 Patriots are on life support and may not be able to afford another loss if they want to reach the post-season.

Arizona is led by Kyler Murray, who has quickly become one of the most exciting players in the entire league. Murray’s ability to make plays with both his legs and arm makes him a dangerous player on the field at all times. Can Bill Belichick and company scheme enough to keep him in check? Or is Murray simply too talented for even Belichick to handle?

Pats cornerback Stephon Gilmore will have his hands full in this one, as he will likely spend most of his time defending DeAndre Hopkins. Hopkins vs. Gilmore is the marquee matchup in this game and the winner could give their team the upper hand in the entire game.

Which Cam Newton will we get in this game? Overall, Newton has been good this season, but his inconsistency as a passer has been an issue. Newton has pushed the ball down the field well in recent weeks but could have issues against an underrated Arizona defensive attack.

The Patriots’ lack of weapons obviously limits the upside of this entire offensive attack. That being said, they seemed to have found something in a pair of young players who have been playing extremely well.

Running back Damien Harris is leading their offensive attack and has shown a strong combination of quickness and power that makes him difficult to bring down in space. Wide receiver Jakobi Meyers continues to produce as well, showing an innate ability to get open against any coverage and can create after the catch a bit as well.
