2021 NFL Draft: Round 1, 29th Overall

LB. 29. Dylan Moses. player. 49. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Alabama

The linebacker position has stood out as a major area of weakness for the Green Bay Packers this season. There have been times where their lack of talent at the position has hurt them against the run and the pass. Shifty running backs have given them issues all season long, as their linebacker consistently get shook in space by players with good short-area quickness.

If the right opportunity presents itself, the Green Bay Packers should aggressively attack this linebacker need early in the 2021 NFL Draft. In this mock draft, Dylan Moses is still on the board at No. 29, making this an easy decision for the team.

Moses has it all at the linebacker position, showing an impressive combination of physicality and athleticism at all times. He is an extremely smart linebacker who understands his responsibilities well and is never out of position. Moses can grind it out and take on blocks on the inside, but also shows the ability to range and make plays from sideline-to-sideline. He is also an extremely reliable tackler in space.

Most importantly, Moses shows good instincts and strong overall ability in coverage. He has the skills needed to match up against most running backs and tight ends, and is also an impact player in short zone coverage. Moses also shows exciting ability as a weapon in the blitz game. Simply put, linebacker is a major need for the Green Bay Packers and Moses is a fantastic value pick in this range of the draft.
