Jaguars 2021 mock draft: Justin Fields leads the rebuild project
4. Second round, second pick: Brevin Jordan, TE, Miami (FL)
Jaguars fans might be reading this and wondering, where is the defense?
When you pick a quarterback second overall and have this many holes on offense, you’ve got to invest in that side of the ball not only to support that quarterback but to make sure you have a core of players that can grow together.
One clear hole on the Jaguars’ roster right now is at the tight end position.
In this mock draft simulation, Brevin Jordan happened to be available with the selection the Jaguars received from the Minnesota Vikings, which has been getting worse and worse over the last three weeks as the Vikings have gotten back to winning games.
Brevin Jordan is a tremendous athlete and receiver at the tight end position, but don’t let that fool you — this guy can block, too.
Jordan’s ability to win at the catch point and make plays after the catch could make him a great weapon to go along with the likes of DJ Chark and Laviska Shenault for the Jaguars.
