Jaguars 2021 mock draft: Justin Fields leads the rebuild project

3. Second round, first pick

For my money, there might not be a better day two selection than Najee Harris in this year’s draft.

If he even makes it that far.

Harris has been a model of ball security with only one fumble in his time at Alabama, and that fumble was a questionable ruling anyway.

Harris has featured runner capabilities, tremendous size, great vision, and he’s a fantastic receiver both out of the backfield and when he’s lined up out wide.

The story of James Robinson is excellent and everyone is loving it, but in today’s NFL, you need multiple backs and the Jaguars have the capital to make this kind of selection.

The defense will need attention as well, but Harris and his ability to move the chains as a runner and receiver along with his ball security are huge assets the Jaguars would love to have with a young QB like Justin Fields.
