2021 NFL Draft: Jets, Jaguars make trades in new 2021 NFL mock draft

Browns take much-needed safety
The Cleveland Browns drafted Grant Delpit in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft, but an injury ended his season before it started. Instead, the Browns have used a flurry of safeties with few producing regularly. Andrew Sendejo has been a liability while Karl Joseph has had his own bout injuries. One bright spot has been Ronnie Harrison who the team acquired before the season started.
Even with a healthy Delpit next year and Harrison returning, the NFL is now a league where just two safeties won’t cut it. The Browns will need to add another to the mix. That’s where Trevon Moehrig steps. While Delpit was known for his tackling ability and being more of a strong safety, Moehrig is more known for finding the ball and showing a free safety style of play that can also deliver hits.
Last year, Moehrig defended 11 passes and picked off four while still totaling 62 tackles and forcing two fumbles. In six games this season he’s already added another interception to his career total as well as seven passes defended. If the Browns take Moehrig in the 2021 NFL Draft, he could be the perfect complement to Delpit in the secondary.
