2021 NFL Draft: New mock draft with Justin Fields, Zach Wilson rising
Just 20 picks after selecting their quarterback of the future in Justin Fields, the Jaguars make a selection to keep him protected.
Whether he’s playing tackle or guard, or center for that matter, I think Alex Leatherwood is going to have plenty of success at the NFL level.
He’s played both guard and tackle for the Crimson Tide and has done well in both spots.
His ability to play with power and finesse will ultimately land him somewhere in the top 25 picks, and if he can have a big pre-draft process, Leatherwood could find himself in the top 15 or higher.
He would have probably been a first-round pick had he declared for the 2020 NFL Draft, but he came back for another season with the Tide.
Playing with the Jaguars, he would get to help protect Justin Fields in this scenario.
