Pick Analysis. EDGE. Miami. player. 28. Scouting Report. Gregory Rousseau. 23

The Raiders have not gotten the return on investment for Clelin Ferrell they had hoped for.

Ferrell was the fourth pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, and while the jury is still out on him at this point, 4.5 sacks in 23 career games are not going to cut it.

Gregory Rousseau is widely considered to have the best potential of any edge players in the 2021 NFL Draft class, but he needed to come play in 2021 to really solidify his stock.

With only one season of tape and plenty of holes in his game, Rousseau could fall in the pre-draft process if he shows he’s not in the greatest shape or that his athletic traits are not top 10 worthy.

He still showed enough on tape at Miami last season to warrant first-round consideration. He has some explosiveness and power but needs to be better at consistently using that explosiveness and winning other ways than just physically.

He also may be limited to playing with his hand in the ground, but Rousseau is a player who could certainly upgrade the Raiders’ pass rush and based on what we’ve seen from him, he is a nice value here.
