In the marquee matchup of the weekend, the 18th-ranked Penn State Nittany Lions will play host to the 3rd-ranked Ohio State Buckeyes. Ohio State took care of business last week, coming away with a dominant 52-17 win over Nebraska. Penn State was not as impressive, falling 36-35 in overtime against Indiana.

It was a disappointing loss for the Nittany Lions and they obviously have a tough test this week, but a win at home against the Buckeyes would quickly get their season right back on track.

This is not only a battle between two clearly talented college football teams. There will also be a ton of 2021 NFL Draft talent on the field on Saturday night. Most notably, Ohio State quarterback Justin Fields.

While Fields is unlikely to overtake Trevor Lawrence as the top quarterback in the 2021 NFL Draft class, he is undoubtedly a top-tier prospect who will undoubtedly go early. Fields was tremendous last week against Nebraska and will likely continue to shine going forward. However, the Penn State defense is strong and could give Fields and company problems on Saturday night.

The Penn State players who I am most interested to watch this weekend are their talented pair of edge rushers, Shaka Toney and Jayson Oweh. Toney was impressive in the season-opener last weekend, piling up seven total tackles and two sacks. He put constant pressure on the passer and needs to be taken seriously as a 2021 NFL Draft prospect.

Toney is an intriguing player, but Oweh is arguably even more talented. Oweh shows an explosive first step and incredible natural bend around the edge. He is certainly a raw talent, but his upside as a speed rusher at the next level is exciting. Both Oweh and Toney have a great chance to improve their 2021 NFL Draft stock in primetime against this talented Ohio State team.
