Offensive line isn’t normally the position group that comes to mind when thinking about a player that can immediately transform a franchise, but when it comes to 2021 NFL Draft prospect Penei Sewell, that’s exactly what could happen.

Sewell is receiving high praise from around the league and in some circles is considered the best offensive tackle to be in the draft in a long time. Considering the high amount of offensive tackles that went in the first round this past year in the 2020 NFL Draft, it’s hard to imagine that there wasn’t one better than Sewell. However, that’s what we’re hearing from across the league.

Having the anchor of the offensive line at left tackle to protect the blind side of right-handed quarterbacks is one of the most important offensive positions for a team that is building. Whichever team selects Sewell in the 2021 NFL Draft will be able to lockup the left side of their line for years to come. This will give the quarterback more time, the running back more lanes and overall the team more wins.

Any of the teams that are at the top of the draft projections could use a player like Sewell and with his skill set, he has the ability to completely alter the course of any franchise in the NFL.
