NFL Trade Deadline 2020: Top trade targets from each division
By Ian Higgins
After having been a consistent figure in the Indianapolis receiving game for the past four years, Jack Doyle is meeting the end of his time in Indy with the emergence of Phillip Rivers’ new favorite target Mo Alie-Cox. A recent injury will be giving Doyle newfound playing time to prove his trade value to tight-end seeking organizations.
Doyle is as conventional as tight ends come, standing at a substantial 6-foot 6 and providing consistent run-blocking. He is not going to be the target to split the seam and create twenty-yard chunk gains with spectacular athleticism, but he is a viable option who can fill his role in the offense.
Rookie Joe Burrow has been without a fight end in Cincinnati, and although he hasn’t has problems finding his trusted receivers so far this year, a big, friendly target such as Doyle can be the best thing for him. New England has also been in the market for a competitive tight end since the retirement of Rob Gronkowski, and could find a suitable placeholder whilst they search for another star.
