NFL Trade Deadline 2020: Top trade targets from each division
By Ian Higgins
The New York Jets, yet again entering their unending rebuild phase. Sam Darnold could inherit this position as well within the Jets teardown, but that would likely come before the draft once Trevor Lawrence is a guarantee. Quinnen Williams looks to be the second defensive lineman to be drafted and traded by the Jets within the tenure of his rookie contract.
At only 22 years old, Williams can already be considered one of the most capable interior defensive linemen in the NFL with his 300-pound frame and impressive college resume. Injuries have kept Williams from reaching his full potential in New York, but there were many other issues holding him back outside of his control.
A perfect landing spot for Williams would be with a rising contender who can support his play with consistent coverage and time to get to the quarterback from the interior. Along with this, Williams can bring a renewed run defense to any squad he joins. Arizona has done well with their offensive gameplan and Kyler Murray, but they have been missing a legitimate interior presence since Calais Campbell.
