2021 NFL Draft: Round 1, 4th Overall

Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Penn State. Micah Parsons. 4. LB. player. 56

Missing out on Sewell by one pick is brutal for the Cincinnati Bengals. Their offensive line is an absolute mess and if Sewell were available, he would be the pick here for Cincinnati. However, there is not another offensive lineman in the 2021 NFL Draft class worthy of going this high. With that being the case, the Bengals look in another direction and land on Penn State linebacker Micah Parsons.

Parsons is arguably the best defensive prospect in the 2021 NFL Draft class. He is an extremely athletic linebacker who shows tremendous playmaking ability all over the field. Parsons is quick and aggressive in open space, shows impressive ability in coverage and does a great job of putting pressure on the quarterback when he is asked to attack.

Listed at 6-foot-3, 245 pounds, Parsons also has plenty of size to hold up inside. He shows impressive natural block shed ability and does a great job of getting to the ball carrier in an instant.

Parsons is simply too talented of a prospect for the Bengals to ignore here. He is a perfect fit for the modern NFL and would immediately give Cincinnati an impact player who they can build their defense around. Finding an offensive lineman to protect Joe Burrow would be ideal here, but Parsons would be a great consolation prize.
