2021 NFL Draft: Jaylen Waddle is WR1 in 2021 NFL mock draft
2021 NFL Draft: Round 1, 25th Overall
This pick comes to Jacksonville via the Los Angeles Rams
The Jacksonville Jaguars did not take a new franchise quarterback earlier in this mock draft, but they continue to stockpile important players for Gardner Minshew or whoever ends up leading this franchise. Here, they add Penn State tight end Pat Freiermuth to the mix.
Freiermuth is the most well-rounded and arguably the best tight end in the 2021 NFL Draft class. He is a good athlete who can separate from defenders in the middle of the field and uses his size well in contested-catch situations. Freiermuth is also a strong blocker who can undoubtedly play inline on a consistent basis.
Simply put, Freiermuth is a matchup nightmare as a receiver and a real asset in the run game. He feels like a major steal for the Jaguars in this range and would undoubtedly be an important part of their offensive rebuild.
2021 NFL Draft: Round 1, 26th Overall
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have gotten solid production out of the running back position this season, but adding Travis Etienne to the mix could take their offense to the next level. Etienne is a special athlete in space who shows incredible burst through the hole and ridiculous when he gets a crease. Etienne also displays solid power at the point of attack and has improved as a receiver over the last couple of seasons.
Etienne is the best running back prospect in the 2021 NFL Draft class and would be an exciting addition to the mix in Tampa Bay. The Buccaneers need to make the move that gives them the best chance to compete during what could be Tom Brady’s final season and Etienne feels like the best bet.
