2021 NFL Draft: Round 1, 17th Overall

Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Texas. Samuel Cosmi. 17. OT. player. 57

The Chicago Bears may look to find a new franchise quarterback in this scenario, but they cannot ignore their offensive tackle situation. The combination of Charles Leno and Bobby Massie leaves plenty to be desired and the Bears would be wise to address the position if the opportunity presents itself. Here, they are able to add Texas left tackle Samuel Cosmi to the mix.

Cosmi is a bit rough around the edges, but he is a quick and athletic offensive tackle who shows a ton of natural upside in pass protection. He does a great job of quickly getting into his pass sets and shows impressive mirror ability as well. Cosmi is not the most powerful offensive lineman in the 2021 NFL Draft class, but he holds his own in anchor situations. Cosmi would be an exciting long-term piece for the Bears and would help protect whoever ends up taking snaps for the team.

2021 NFL Draft: Round 1, 18th Overall

Pick Analysis. CB. Georgia. Eric Stokes. 18. player. Scouting Report. 42

Eric Stokes is a long, fast and athletic cornerback prospect who continues to grow as a player. He is a strong man coverage player who uses his combination of size and movement ability to make life difficult on opposing receivers. Stokes also shows high-level ball skills and is only getting better with more time on the field.

Cornerback continues to stand out as the biggest need on the 49ers’ roster and Stokes has quickly become a legitimate first-round 2021 NFL Draft prospect. This may seem like a reach to some, but Stokes is clearly a talented player who is growing at a rapid pace. By the time the 2021 NFL Draft rolls around, taking him in this range will make plenty of sense.
