Ranking the 2020 NFL Draft rookies through a quarter of the season.

We have reached the quarter-point in the NFL season, an area where many sites start handing out some awards and observations from the first four weeks. Many analysts and NFL Draft fans always want to know how the rookies are doing this early, as many hunger for the instant impact players for their teams.

First-round selections always face early scrutiny when they don’t make an early impact in their rookie campaign. The fact that the Arizona Cardinals haven’t used Isaiah Simmons for many snaps so far has been puzzling, and the first-round corners have been off to a slow start.

The anticipation of Tua Tagovailoa’s first start is as high as it’s ever been due to the Dolphins 1-3 start. A couple of first-round wide receivers, Jalen Reagor and Henry Ruggs, have suffered early injuries that have kept them out of games.

Some other observations have proven correct so far. The tight end class is off to a slow start, and it’s been tougher for the rookie running backs to get a hold on the scheme adjustments and processing things up front. Also, the wide receiver class is as advertised so far, with many players making early impacts.

As we turn the page on the first quarter, it’s time to bring out the rookie rankings. These will be a fun measuring stick throughout the season to see who improves down the stretch and where the top players on the board end up. Let’s dive into the first top 25 rankings, along with a few honorable mentions!
