5. Chicago Bears

The Chicago Bears are a team without a long-term option at quarterback right now.

Why not go after Haskins?

Based on what happens the rest of the 2020 season, there is no guarantee that current head coach Matt Nagy will still be with the Chicago Bears beyond this year.

With that in mind, the Bears are on the cusp of what I would consider a ‘good’ trade destination for Haskins, but they could certainly use a young quarterback prospect to develop.

Mitch Trubisky, the second overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft (ahead of Patrick Mahomes and DeShaun Watson) has not become a franchise quarterback for the Bears, and likely will be on a different team beyond this season.

The Bears have already won three games and might have played their way out of the Trevor Lawrence/Justin Fields/Trey Lance discussion.

A young player like Haskins is someone they could at least attempt to bring along as a future starter.
