Two of the most surprisingly succesful early season teams will face off on Sunday afternoon, as the 2-1 Las Vegas Raiders will play host to the 3-0 Buffalo Bills. Both the Raiders and Bills are looking to prove themselves as legitimate competitors in the AFC this season and Week 4 win would undoubtedly be a step in the right direction.
Josh Allen and the Bills’ offense has been firing on all cylinders through the first three weeks of the season, averging 31 points scored per game. Allen has clearly taken his game to the next level this season, showing much improved accuracy to all levels of the field.
Allen still has great mobility and an extremely strong arm, but he appears to be seeing the field much better and has been consistently accurate with his passes. The offseason addition of wide receiver Stefon Diggs has helped Allen out in a big way. Diggs is arguably the best deep receiver in the entire NFL and Allen has done a great job of getting him the ball accurately.
The connection of Allen and Diggs will undoubtedly look to keep their hot streak going in this one, but the Raiders’ defense has been far easier to exploit on the ground this season. Entering the week, the Raiders had the worst rushing defense in the NFL, according to DVOA. Bills running back Devin Singletary could have a massive day in this one.
Josh Jacobs leads the way for the Raiders’ offense and the Bills have also struggled to consistently stop the run this season. Expect Las Vegas to feed Jacobs early and often in this one and find success behind their fantastic offensive line.
