On Sunday afternoon, the Dallas Cowboys will play host to the Cleveland Browns. Dallas entered the season as one of the favorites to make a deep postseason run in the NFC, but their 1-2 start to the year has been less than ideal. Led by a powerful rushing attack, Cleveland comes into this game at 2-1 on the year and are in a strong position to make a legitimate run to the playoffs.
Dak Prescott leads a powerful Cowboys’ offense that should be able to move the ball well on Sunday afternoon. Ezekiel Elliott is obviously a massive weapon in the backfield, and their wide receiver trio of Amari Cooper, CeeDee Lamb and Michael Gallup is arguably the best in the entire league.
The Cowboys’ offensive line has struggled mightily in recent weeks, primarily due to a long list of injuries at the position. Left tackle Tyron Smith is expected to return this week and that would obviously help take their offensive attack to the next level. If Smith can help get Prescott just a bit more time, this offense could become nearly impossible to stop.
The running back duo of Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt lead the way for the Browns. This team wants to run the ball and make life as easy as possible for quarterback Baker Mayfield. However, the Cowboys’ defense is much stronger against the run than they are against the pass. The Browns may be better off giving Mayfield an opportunity to sling it around the field and let Odell Beckham and Jarvis Landry make plays against Dallas.
