2021 NFL Draft: Top SEC prospects to watch on opening weekend
Alabama linebacker Dylan Moses
As per usual, Alabama will have a ton of 2021 NFL Draft prospects worth paying attention to this season. Early in the season, it will be extremely interesting to see top-tier prospects like Jaylen Waddle and Christian Barmore take on larger roles, but more than anything, I am curious to see what Dylan Moses does on the field.
Moses entered last season as a preseason All-American and top-tier NFL Draft prospect, but a torn ACL prior to the first game forced him to miss the entire year. He decided to return to school and could easily end up being a top 10 selection in the 2021 NFL Draft if comes back healthy and continues to shine on the field.
Prior to the injury, Moses showed fantastic speed and athleticism at the linebacker position. He is an extremely tough and rangy linebacker who can impact the game in a variety of ways. It will be interesting to see if the knee injury has forced Moses to miss a step. If not, he will likely be one of the top defensive prospects in the upcoming draft class.
Missouri linebacker Nick Bolton
Nick Bolton is an extremely active and physical linebacker prospect who always seems to be around the ball. He is a fierce playmaker in the middle of the field who shows tremendous natural instincts and has the physicality that will make receivers think twice about coming into the middle.
Bolton is a bit of a raw player who needs to grow in coverage, but he is undoubtedly a gifted linebacker who has a high ceiling. With a strong 2020 season, Bolton could become a legitimate first-round prospect and a standout performance against this loaded Alabama team would undoubtedly be a step in the right direction.
