Oklahoma. CeeDee Lamb. 12. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. WR. player. 28

Actual pick: Henry Ruggs III, WR, Alabama

It’s hard to say what the Raiders would have done had there been no 2019 college season.

Oklahoma’s 2018 campaign with Kyler Murray winning the Heisman shined a lot of light on CeeDee Lamb, but the hype was still really high for Henry Ruggs III as well.

Still, over the course of the 2019 season, I think what Ruggs showed in terms of his game speed and the way he was utilized in the Alabama offense set him apart and you’d be hard-pressed to find anyone who had Ruggs rated ahead of Lamb based on what we’d seen up through 2018.

Lamb wound up going a couple of picks later to the Dallas Cowboys in the real 2020 NFL Draft, but either way, the Raiders could have made this selection and it would have been a good one.
